Matthew Schmitz

I grew up being taught to love tennis by those who took the time to invest in me as a player. I know that it is now my responsibility to do the same for those who come after me. I have enjoyed this opportunity to invest in kids' lives and I hope that I have made a difference in the community of Brandon no matter how small. Teaching tennis has really taught me to love working with kids and will prepare me for my future career.

Braden Roegiers

“I’ve been playing tennis for about 7 years and teaching at Lynxville camp for 4, and I continue to grow my love for the sport every year. Lynxville camp has been an amazing experience for me; getting to share my knowledge and love of the game with kids, and promoting a fun attitude towards this life-long sport. The BTA also does an amazing job of giving opportunities for all ages and skill levels to compete and have fun playing tennis, and I can’t wait to see the tennis community in Brandon continue to grow because of it! Braden is currently a Sophomore at USF.

Marie Schmitz

When I say that I teach tennis, I really mean that I share what the game of tennis has taught me. I grew up playing the sport, and after 14 years of playing, I still feel like I could never know everything there is to know about this incredible sport. I love playing this game, but even more, I love sharing my experience in playing this game. And I love watching the physical and mental challenges of tennis grow other players like it grew me. The Brandon Tennis Association has this goal as well, to expand the game of tennis and the lessons it teaches to people of all ages throughout the community.
