Dick Hahn

Tennis Teaching Professional

Dick Hahn is highly qualified as a Tennis Instructor with a long impressive resumé including his 2012 induction into the South Dakota Tennis Hall of Fame. He graduated from Vic Braden’s United States Tennis Academy in 1981 and taught at Westward Ho Country Club and Woodlake Athletic Club in Sioux Falls until 1984, the year he also coached at O’Gorman High School. He moved to Okoboji, IA in 1985 and inspired a local tennis boom in the Iowa Great Lakes community during the next 15 years.  It was there, around 1986, he received his certification as a USPTA Professional 1 (P1) certified tennis pro.  In 2000 he returned to Sioux Falls where he served as President of the Sioux Falls Tennis Association helping to grow tennis and also returned to coaching for a two-year stint in 2005 at Washington High School. In his second year of coaching, he was voted Greater Dakota Conference Girl’s Coach of the Year.  Later he relocated to the eastern edge of Sioux Falls and brought his love of tennis to the Brandon Community where he now continues to greatly impact the growth of the game here, teaching beginner adult classes and coordinating Adult Leagues & Tournaments.  (p.s. He's also a great realtor!)
